Maimi Sightings for July 31st: Mai, Airi, Haruna

(1 & 2) ℃-ute members Hagiwara Mai and Suzuki Airi both uploaded pictures from the ℃-ute girls’ night out in their updates on the official ℃-ute blog today (Mai’s update, Airi’s update). (3) Morning Musume’s Iikubo Haruna shared this backstage 2-shot with Maimi in her update on the MM 10th generation blog, and wrote:

℃-ute’s Yajima Maimi-san.

There are sunglasses that are decorations on our outfits,

but we played around putting them on.

Yajima-san… I went to see the play “Taklamakan”…

I really fell in love with her…

The more I look at her, the more beautiful she seems!!

She’s a really warm and tender beauty!!

I hope we can become closer during the Hello! concerts.

Maimi, Haruna to appear on “Tenkatouitsu”

Maimi will join Morning Musume’s Iikubo Haruna on the NHK Sougou live program “Souhoukou Quiz Tenkatouitsu” (“Interactive Quiz; Unification of the Whole Country”), which will broadcast on June 8th at 12:10AM. The theme of this episode of the quiz program will be “pets”, and the cast page at the “Tenkatouitsu” website has a short Q&A with all of the participants about their pets. I’ve translated the answers for the Iikubo/Yajima team, which you can see by hitting the jump below.

Maimi Sightings for March 27th

▪Fellow ℃-ute member Suzuki Airi posted another 2-shot with Maimi from their “Spirits” photoshoot in her update today on the official ℃-ute blog.

▪Morning Musume’s Iikubo Haruna shared a 3-shot of herself, Maimi, and Nakajima Saki from their “Hello! SATOYAMA Life” filming in an update on the Morning Musume 10th generation blog.

Maimi Sightings for February 2nd

First from Maimi’s fellow ℃-ute members, Okai Chisato shared these groups shot over several of her updates on the official ℃-ute blog.

Hagiwara Mai also had a couple of shots of her own that she uploaded in her updates.

Wrapping things up for the ℃-ute members, Suzuki Airi attached these shots to her entries.

Morning Musume member Iikubo Haruna shared these group shots in an update on the Morning Musume 10th generation blog from when herself, Maimi, Chisato, and Ishida Ayumi had a recording for the radio program “J-POP SUPER COUNTDOWN”.

The Enjoy Network Japan Facebook page uploaded a series of pictures of Maimi, who is hosting the “Idol Hour Hello! Project” program for the month of February. The ENJ staff mentioned that Maimi might be cutting her hair again soon, and that she spilled her drink trying to get it open (picture 3), possibly because of nerves.

Over on YouTube, the UFACTORYchannel uploaded a video of February’s 3 birthday girls (Maimi, Nacky, Mai) singing the “Happy Birthday Song” and showing off their birthday shirts that will be on sale during the finale of ℃-ute’s tour and at their birthday event.

Maimi also appears in a video on the MBCMS channel, where details of Hello! Project’s “Hinamatsuri Festival” are decided.

Maimi Sightings for January 8th

Morning Musume and DIY♡ member Iikubo Haruna uploaded this 2-shot with Maimi in her update on the Morning Musume 10th generation blog today. In her entry, Haruna wrote that she’s been talking to Maimi a lot lately, and described Maimi as always kind and like an older sister. Haruna continued on to say that she really wishes Maimi was her older sister.

The “Club Ver.” of the music video for DIY♡’s single “Fore Fore ~Forest for Rest~” has been uploaded to the SATOYAMA Channel on YouTube.

SATOYAMA movement site opens

Spinning off from Hello! Project’s weekly program “Hello! SATOYAMA Life” late last year, the “SATOYAMA movement” has been given an official website on the first of the new year. The website contains information on events, releases, and of interested to Maimi fans, profiles of all the artists, including Maimi’s group “DIY♡“. There’s not much in the way of any new information, but it can possibly be taken as a promising sign for the group’s continued activity.

“Hello! SATOYAMA Life” #9 clip

The latest clip from “Hello! SATOYAMA Life” has been uploaded to the Satoyama Channel, and features Maimi with her fellow DIY♡ members Nakajima Saki and Iikubo Haruna planting corn seeds.

DIY♡ “Fore Fore ~Forest For Rest~” (LIVE)

A new channel for Hello! Project’s program “SATOYAMA Life” has opened on YouTube, and on it a live performance of DIY♡’s song “Fore Fore ~Forest for Rest~” has been uploaded. For more information on DIY♡, please check out this earlier update.

Maimi joins new unit “DIY♡”

According to an article posted on the BARKS website, Maimi will be joining fellow C-ute member Nakajima Saki, Berryz Koubou’s Tokunaga Chinami and Natsuyaki Miyabi, and Morning Musume’s Iikubo Haruna to form a new unit named “DIY♡”, which will be part of the “SATOYAMA movement” project tied-in with the Hello! Project weekly program “Hello! SATOYAMA Life”. The article notes that the initials that make up the unit’s name commonly stand for “Do it Yourself”, but this time carries the meaning of “Dance in Your Heart”. DIY♡’s first performance will be at the summer Hello! Project concerts this weekend, and they will perform the song “Fore Fore ~Forest For Rest~”.

Maimi Sightings for 6/13

Morning Musume 9th generation member and “Stacies” cast member Ikuta Erina shared a 2-shot with Maimi in an update on the official “Stacies” cast member blog.

In addition, Morning Musume 10th generation member and also “Stacies” cast member Iikubo Haruna uploaded a giant 2-shot with Maimi in an update she made on the “Stacies” blog, and wrote that Maimi is so beautiful it hurts.
