Maimi gets a belated birthday surprise in her February 15th update “Happy(T ^ T)“. Full translation below.

Good evening

Something reaaaaaaaaaally wonderful happened(T ^ T)

A few days ago,
my close friend said “I want to stay over(^O^)”,

and so she came to stay over at my house yesterday!

She came to the city to pick me up after the polaroid & handshake events finished,

and since she came all the way there, we decided “Let’s go out to eat dinner!“!!

She said “I saw a restaurant on TV with some really delicious-looking items, so I want to try going there“,

 

so I responded “Eh＼(^o^)／ Let’s go! Let’s go!”,
and she took me to a stylish restaurant

The 2 of us were talking for awhile,
when a staff member came over carrying a cake and said “Happy birthday, ma’am“（ｉДｉ）

I was like “Eh? Is this a joke??(´Д` )”,
and when I looked at my friend’s face,

she was happily laughing “Hehehe(^.^)”,

so I turned back to the cake and said
“Thank you(T ^ T)” to the staff,

but then I was surprised and let out a big shout

“Uuuuoooooah!!((((；ﾟДﾟ))))))) What the??”

The person that I thought was a staff member was another one of my close friends

I could’ve cried…

I got teary-eyed, but I desperately held back(T ^ T)

 

When she first brought the cake, my eyes were fixated on it, so I didn’t notice my friend at alllol

My friends and the real staff were laughing at how slow I was to notice her even though she was right in front of me! lol

She said “I thought ‘Even though I came all this way, Maimi’s reaction was weak(￣▽￣)’! lol”! lol

Anyway, I was happy

It was Valentine’s day, so I thought the 2 of them would have plans,

but they said “I can meet 〇〇(←her boyfriend) anytime(^^)”
and “It’s okay! I talked it over with 〇〇-kun (←her boyfriend)”
It seems they came to the conclusion of “There’s not many days the 3 of us can get together“, so they made celebrating my birthday a priority

 

They gave me a bouquet and presents,
and I got a card from the staff with a polaroid they took

So happy!!

It had been a while since the 3 of us got together,
so we talked about a lot of things

It was fun(T ^ T)

While talking, they said a lot of things that I had respect for and gave a lot of motivation too

After we said bye-bye, the girl I was first with came over to my house to stay,

and last time she came over,
the 2 of us watched a program with scary stories and screamed “Eek! Eek!” lol

I said "Yep, I do!“, and we watched a video I recorded a long time ago that I was waiting for her to come watch because it was definitely too scary for me to see alone!!(^▽^;)

However…

Halfway-through my friend fell asleep

I can’t believe it!!

In addition, my friend fell asleep while after grabbing my arm during a scary scene, so my arm was trapped under my friend’s…

It was scary watching it by myself,
and I couldn’t move my arm even though it hurt…

As expected of my friend!
“What amazing power!” lol

I freed my arm the moment she turned over in her sleep,

and when I told my friend about it, she laughed a lot! lol

We had to say bye-bye before noon since she had work, but it was a really fun time!

Even though it had been warm up to yesterday and I thought “Spring has already arrived“
