Blog update: “Can’t bear bonsai! lol(;^_^A”

Maimi takes the NaruChika tour to her hometown in her February 20th update “Can’t bear bonsai! lol(;^_^A“. Full translation below.

Good morning
It’s Maimi

Yesterday,
we had a NaruChika concert in my hometown of Saitama~(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

Just the thought of having a performance in my hometown made me incredibly excited(*^^*)

It’s because it was the placed I was raised since I was little(o^^o)

Ah! By the way, I was actually born in Chiba…

A lot of people came to the concert from outside of Saitama,

and a lot of people who lived in Saitama came as well(^o^)/*

There’s an MC corner where we talk about local traits,
and we got excited talking about Saitama’s(≧∇≦)

Nacky researched things about Saitama on the net,

and here’s a lot of things people from Saitama will probably relate to(o^^o)lol

☆The milk with the school lunch is Wataboku Milk(≧∇≦)

That’s right! There was ocassionally days they’d offer coffee milk, and people would be excited(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

But back then I couldn’t drink coffee milk, so I’d give it to people who’d want it on those days…(^◇^;)

☆We think Seki Yakuhin is everywhere in Japan!

This is true!
Suzuki Airi-chan is from Chiba, and I was shocked that she never heard of Seki( ゜д゜)

“Tulip~ mark no~ Seki Yakuhin~”

☆We also think Yamada Udon is everywhere in Japan!

Now that you mention it, I’ve never seen one outside of Saitama~(^◇^;)
That sign with the scarecrow-looking figure that spins around♪( ´θ`)ノlol

☆For now let’s meet at the lake owl! Let’s meet at the beanstalk!

They’re in Saitama’s cities(^o^)/*

When we researched more, things like

☆We call national highway 122 “One-Two-Two”!

that I can relate to appeared
I’ve heard it called “One-Two-Two” before~(≧∇≦)

Also, I didn’t know this, but

☆Olympic department store

is also a Saitama thing(*^^*)
The audience related to that, so there were probably people who knew~( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

And then,

☆When someone says “Umai! Umasugiru!”, we respond “Juumangoku Manjuu”!

LOL!
That’s so true~(//∇//)

☆We’re excited to see the ocean!

It’s because Saitama is landlocked~ヽ(;▽;)ノ

There was a lot of things I could relate to, so it was fun(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

By the way,

it was written that only people in Saitama say “That so?”………

That so?(・o・)lol

I wonder if there are customs and peculiarities like that where everyone lives too(≧∇≦)

I’ll be happy if even the people who couldn’t relate thought
“So that’s the kind of place Saitama is( ̄▽ ̄)”

And I hope that participating in the NaruChika concert made you like Saitama even a little more

Here’s a picture with the Juumangoku Manjuu I just mentioned~( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

1)

The phrase “Umai! Umasugiru! Juumangoku Manjuu!” appears in commercials that often air in Saitama, so it’s a phrase that only people from Saitama know(^_^)a

And then, speaking of Saitama, Chichibu strawberries( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

2)

Nakajima Saki-chan is the Chichibu Ichigo Oh! En ambassador,

so it seems that advertisements with Nacky and strawberries were displayed on the Seibu line for awhile(^o^)/*

3)

Amazing(≧∇≦)
I wanted to ride the Seibu line during that time

Staff members from Chichibu Ichigo came to see our concert yesterday,

and they gave us strawberries as treats

I was impressed by how big each of them were, and it was amazing how the juice exploded in my mouth when I ate them(≧∇≦)

They were sweet and really delicious

Thank you

Everyone, if you ever come to Saitama, please be sure to look for strawberries

I was really happy that I was able to meet everyone in team ℃-ute in my hometown

Those who participated,
those who weren’t able to, thank you for your support

Alright
Today we have a NaruChika concert in Suzuki Airi-chan’s hometown and my birthplace,

Chiba( ´ ▽ ` )

What peculiarities does Chiba have? lol( ̄▽ ̄)

I can’t wait(^o^)/*

Let’s have a wonderful day today~
Until tomorrow’s update~(//∇//)

  1. The original Japanese titled is “Bonsai, tamaran”.

“Tulip~ mark no~ Seki Yakuhin~” are lyrics from Seki Yakuhin’s image song, “Genki Dashite yo”:
