Maimi celebrates her birthday with all of Hello! Project and the fans and makes a declaration for the next year in her February 8th update “Lots of happinessヽ( ；▽；)ノ“. Full translation below.

I’m sorry for the late update

Berryz Koubou’s Shimizu Saki-chan and I had a recording for the YouTube program “Hello! Station” continuing our conversation(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

…But as expected, we couldn’t film it all again today(^◇^;)

We have so many memories that 1 or 2 hours isn’t enough to say everything we want to(￣▽￣)

Changing the subject,
yesterday, on my birthday, we had a Hello! Project concert in Sendai

It’s my first time having my birthday celebrated at a Hello! concert(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

Not just the other ℃-ute members, but even my juniors game me letters, presents, and said “Please take a picture with me“, so I was really happyヽ(；▽；)ノ

I didn’t expect it at all, so I was surprised

And then, the staff celebrated too

They surprised us with a big cake in the dressing roomヽ(；▽；)ノ

All the Hello! members in the dressing room stood up, and just as I was wondering what they were doing, everyone started singing the “Happy Birthday” song(T ^ T)

I was so moved I felt like I was going to cry

During the concert, everyone in the venue sang as well(T ^ T)

I was really happy that all of the fans of various groups who gathered in the venue celebrated our birthdays

 

Everyone, thank you so much

Once the date changed to February 7th, I received messages from a lot of people congratulating me

I received really happy messages from Morning Musume。’15’s leader Fukumura Mizuki-chan, who came to my solo birthday event the other day,

ANGERME’s leader Wada Ayaka-chan,

and then, Juice=Juice’s leader Miyazaki Yuka-chan

They said things like “When Yajima-san becomes lonely after Berryz Koubou ceases their activities, I’ll cheer you up“,

and “There is a lot of pressure being the Hello! Project leader that I can’t comprehend, but I’ll be by Yajima-san’s side!

If there’s anything I can do, I want to help Yajima-san!”,

and those things made me really happyヽ(；▽；)ノ

Each of the words of congratulation that I received from a lot of other girls did too…(T ^ T)

Everyone, everyone, thanks…

I received love from a lot of people,
so I was able to start my life as a 23-year-old full of happiness(//∇//)

Everyone wished for me to have a wonderful year

It’ll definitely be a wonderful year

My goal for this year is to gain a lot of new knowledge(*^^*)

I want it to be a year of learning

I’ve done this job since I was little, so I’ve come this far without having to frantically prepare for tests or entrance exams

My brothers studied a lot to make their dreams come true,

and when I read letters I’ve received on my radio show and elsewhere from people taking exams,

I think “I’ve come this far without making that kind of effort~…”, and I feel a lot of respect for them

I thought “I want to study something that will be useful and expand the scope of my activities from here on“

I will frantically study as a 23-year-old

I hope it will open up new roads for me
