Blog update: “Opening~\(^o^) /”

Maimi puts on her first Hello! concert as leader of Hello! Project and begins to introduce the new members in her January 3rd update “Opening~\(^o^) /“. Full translation below.

Good morning
It’s Maimi

Our annual New Year’s Hello! Project concerts started yesterday at Nakano Sunplaza

It’s the start of a new Hello! Project

Yesterday was my first time leading the cheer before the performance as Hello! Project leader

I was a little nervous~(^◇^;)
I wondered “Is this how each previous Hello! Project leader felt?“…

The number of new members has increased rapidly,
so it feels really fresh…

There was a happy new announcement yesterday

Yet another Hello! Project unit has been born

The members are the 8 Hello! Project trainees

Fujii Rio-chan,
Hirose Ayaka-chan,
Nomura Minami-chan,
Ogawa Rena-chan,
Hamaura Ayano-chan,
Taguchi Natsumi-chan,
Wada Sakurako-chan,
and Inoue Reon-chan

The unit’s name hasn’t been decided yet, but it seems it’ll be announced this month

I hope we can work together to gradually liven up Hello! Project from here

The number of new members and groups have increased,

so I’d like to introduce each member one by one starting today(*^^*)

Everyone, please be sure to remember their names and faces

Well then,
first is Morning Musume。’15’s Nonaka Miki-chan,

who I appeared in a “Hello! Station” announcement video with me on YouTube

She’s 14-years-old and fluent in English

She lived overseas when she was little…

In the announcement video, she used her English to translate everything I said so that people overseas can understand

Standing next to her, I couldn’t hide my surprise at how good her English is(^◇^;)

There are a lot of people overseas cheering for Hello! Project too

So I think it’s really great that we have a member who can speak English(*^^*)

I hope Nonaka-chan will teach me a lot of English too

And then, at yesterday’s ~DANCE MODE!~ Hello! Project concert,

Nonaka-chan was already highlighted(*^^*)

She played a really active role from the very start( ゜д゜)

Ah, she’s really cool♪( ´θ`)ノ

Those who are interested, please be sure to come and see the concert

I’ll introduce a new member again tomorrow, so don’t miss it

Everyone who came to meet the Hello! Project members at the start of the new year,

and then, everyone who couldn’t participate but still cheered for us,

thank you so very much

Now then, we have Hello! Project concerts at Nakano Sunplaza today too(^o^)/*

Today is both the ~DANCE MODE!~ and ~HAPPY EMOTION!~ patterns( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

I’ll have fun while working hard today

Please have a wonderful day today everyone

Thanks to one of the letters I read on the episode of FM-PORT’s “℃-ute Yajima Maimi no I My MeMaimi~”, which broadcasted yesterday for the first time this year,

I started thinking about my 2015 New Year’s cards(*^^*)

During the program, I said
“Alright, I draw a sheep since it’s the year of the sheep~…
This year will be the first time we’ll have a solo concert at Yokohama Arena,

and ah! It seems I’m known as a muscle character (lol)

So I’ll draw a sheep lifting weights and dreaming of Budokan…♪( ´θ`)ノ”

During the program I promised that I would uploaded it to the blog,
so I’ll do that right now

Here’s the completed version

Everyone, please continue to support me this year

Tomorrow, January 4th (Sun),
from 11:30PM to 12:00AM,
I will appear in the role of the heroine Oda Miyabi in TBS Radio’s “Ebu★Raji ~Yoru no Renzoku Sumaho Shousetsu ~Ore ga Mamotte Yaru yo.~”

Everyone, please be sure to check it out

And then!

Nakajima Saki-chan and I will appear on USEN “MUSIC GARDEN”,
which will broadcast from January 1st to 4th at 12:00AM

The 1 hour program starts at midnight and will then broadcast a total of 8 times at 3 hour intervals,

so please be sure to check it out

Thank you
