Maimi holds a classy event and wishes an O.G. a happy birthday in her December 6th update “Dinner show“. Full translation below.

I fell asleep while typing(T ^ T)

Yesterday,
I had my first solo casual dinner show since I was 20

As expected, dinner shows are nerve-wracking!(◎_◎;)

There’s a live band
Everyone in the audience is sitting
And there’s people wearing suits and dresses,

so the atmosphere is completely different than a normal concert

I was feeling nervous before the first performance, when guests arrived at my dressing room…

Nakajima Saki-chan and Hagiwara Mai-chan(//∇//)

When I saw their faces, I totally forgot I was nervous( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

The weather was nice and I’m sure they could’ve made other plans, so I was really happy they came to watch(T ^ T)

They said to me “Everything is going to be fine!“…

They gave me a push(*^^*)

The hem of the dress they made for me is long,

so when I had to move from one place to the next, I lifted it up so it wouldn’t get dirty

And then, Hagi-chan said
“Mai will hold it(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))”, and walked behind me carrying it(//∇//)

After it was over, Nacky sent me a lot of pictures(*^^*)

They also brought a treat

Mont Blanc cake, which I love(T ^ T)

Just as I would expect
They know what I love

I enjoyed the treat between performances

And then, I received e-mails of encouragement from the members who couldn’t come

I was really happy that they thought of me

I was nervous during the performance,
but it was a reaaaaaally happy time

 

The title of the dinner show is “Message”,

and this time the setlist was created with a lot of songs that have the message of “I want to share how I feel“

Therefore,
I combine how I feel at the moment with each and every song, and while singing, I’m filled with emotion

There were people who cried as I sang,

so I was really happy,
and I received a lot of love from everyone’s warm gazes,

so I felt “This is happiness“

There were so many songs,
so the MC time was short,

but I wonder, did the feelings I wanted to share reach everyone through the songs?

This time, I handmade lyrics cards as a present for everyone

The songs are in the order they were performed, so you can also see what the setlist was when you look at it,

and I wonder if everyone will take the time to read the messages I wanted to convey with the lyrics

At the handshake and polaroid events at the end,
everyone said “It was fun“,

so as I was nervous about whether or not people would enjoy it, those words made me extremely happy, and I was really relieved

What makes me happiest is everyone thinking “I’m happy” and “It’s fun“

The casual dinner show continues today and tomorrow,
so I hope I can spend time with everyone in a warm atmosphere…

Today is Yasuda Kei-san’s birthday

I met Yasuda-san the other day at Michishige Sayumi-san’s graduation performance at Yokohama Arena,

and she always has a kind atmosphere

℃-ute’s formation was announced during Abe Natsumi-san’s tour, which both Abe-san and Yasuda-san participated in, and they’ve always been really kind to us

There were times where they warned us about our behavior,

but that was also how they taught us without embarassing us

I really feel that way

Next year it’ll be 10 years since ℃-ute formed

We’ve got to keep doing our best so we can show our seniors how we’ve grown
