Blog update: “Dazzling Kurume!(^o^)”
The following is one of Maimi’s updates this year that I wasn’t able to translate at the time it was posted, but is one that is important to me, so I saved it for when I’d have a chance to. I have a few other that I wanted to make sure were translated, and I hope that I’ll be able to get to them all by the end of the year. For more backstory to this update, make sure to read the comments after you finish reading Maimi’s update. Without further ado…
Maimi grabs the blog relay baton and shares a story about something that moved her in her March 23rd update “Dazzling Kurume!(^o^)“. Full translation below.
Good morning
It’s Maimi℃-ute is in Ooita for the first time
The last of the 3 days of our NaruChika tour in Kyuushuu is here in Ooita
Ooita is known for it’s hot springs
All the same, I wonder if I won’t be able to visit one f^_^;)
By the way,
yesterday we had a NaruChika concert in KurumeWe usually go to Hakata if we’re going to Fukuoka prefecture,
so I was happy that we were able to go to Kurume
Ah
Look, look~
I heard Kurume was famous for it’s yakitori~So they gave us a large amount of yakitori to eat
The staff said “We stopped at a yakitori restaurant on the way♪”
I’m grateful♪───O(≧∇≦)O────♪
There was a wide variety, and each of them were deliciousヽ(;▽;)ノ
(
1)
Ah
Ignore the prickly seed behind me
lol
In addition, we ate Kurume ramen and motsu-nabe(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))
I was satisfied
Satisfied~
( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
I attached some pictures on the cellphone site “PokeMo-。”, so please be sure to check it out
…By the way, have you read Suzuki Airi-chan’s blog
(*^^*)
There she attached a picture of the motsu-nabe before we ate
And then, this is…
The motsu-nabe after we ateΣ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ
(
2)
Isn’t our appetite incredibleΣ(・□・;)lol
Can’t you feel ℃-ute’s love for motsu-nabe from how we devoured it
lol
You can’t tell from the picture, but this pot is really huge
((((;゜Д゜)))))))
Ah…(^^;;
Even though I move and sweat a lot during the NaruChika concerts,
in the end, I eat so much~
I’ve got to be careful not to become a chubby idol…
But eating a lot of a delicious thing makes me happy~o(^▽^)o
I’m grateful, grateful
And then, the concert made me as happy as can be
I was close to everyone, and the heat had me dripping with sweat
The guys and girls were both full of energy, and I could feel their energy
Everyone who participated, everyone who supported us even though they unfortunately couldn’t participate, thank you so much
Now then, now then, in addition to the concert yesterday, S/mileage’s Fukuda Kanon-chan passed me the blog relay
I wrote this around Kanon’s birthday as well,
but recently I’ve been fascinated by her
(*^^*)
She’s gradually becoming a beautiful young lady
I feel like a ponytail and stud earrings would really suit Kanon
She would look elegant
lol
But she’s really funny when she talks,
she’s quick-witted,
and she’s always making strange faces from the side of the stage…lolThat gap is nice too
(^-^)
Aaaalright
I’ll write about something that moved me recently(o^^o)
I wrote about it in an earlier update as well,
but it seems that ever since I rode a bicycle to Shizuoka’s Kunouzan Toshogu shrine to pray for the success of our new single and it was broadcast on TV in 2012,
it has been visited by a lot of Hello! Project fans,
and when I went to Kunouzan Toshogu earlier, there were a loooooot of ema left by everyone
。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。
There were soooo many, I noticed them whereever I looked
(´Д` )
There were even some left by overseas fans
∑(゜Д゜)
Everyone wrote dreams for us instead of themselves,
so it made me strongly feel “Everyone’s dreams, our dreams, I want them to come true
“
。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。
It was full of mystical energy for me(^ν^)
I received a letter on my radio show that said there was a girl who took the same route by bicycle from Tokyo Tower to Kunouzan Toshogu as I did…
WhaΣ(・□・;) Seriously??
I was really surprised thinking
“She crossed over that mountain??
”
“She walked up those stairs??“Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ
I’m moved by everyone’s love
Truley, thank you for always warmly supporting meヽ(;▽;)ノ
Alright
Everyone’s read the story about what’s moved me,so I think I’ll pass the baton to the next memberε=ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=┌(^o^)┘
Who should be next??|( ̄3 ̄)|
………
………
Juice=Juice’s Kanazawa Tomoko-chan
People have said we really look alike(*^^*)
Originally, before Kanazawa-chan joined Hello! Project,
there was a project where we chose one group from many applicants to come on stage and sing Berikyuu’s “Chou HAPPY SONG” with us
Kanazawa-chan was one of the applicants
And then, at that time Sharam Q’s Makoto-san, the host of the event, said “You look similar
“
(≧∇≦)
Since then, Kanazawa-chan has become a member of Hello! Project, and so many people have said it
But, but,
Kanazawa-chan has sexiness, she’s calm even though she just joined, and has an air of level-headed maturity…
Those are the things that the always-flustered me doesn’t have!(◎_◎;)
So I respect her
( ´ ▽ ` )
I want to continue to learn more about the different sides of Kanazawa-chan
Kanazawa-chan…
Please tell us about something that moved you recently
There’s only one week left until “Hinafest” at Pacifico Yokohama on March 29th and 30th
∑(゜Д゜)
I’m nervous and excited
Each and every group will perform some songs they haven’t in quite some timeI hope everyone participating will look forward to it
℃-ute will work hard at full throttle so that we will shine
Everyone, if you have the time, please be sure to come and hang out
Alright
Today’s the Ooita performance of the NaruChika tour(^-^)Our first in Ooita
I’m so happy
What kind of people will I be able to meet today??
I’ll go and have fun today too
Yesterday, “UTB+ vol.19 (UTB May 2014 issue)” went on sale
Actually,
yesterday I received the completed version of my photobook which will go on sale March 27th,“PURE EYES”

In February this year, fellow Maimi fan “Ryu Jin Maru” and I went to Japan to participate in a variety of ℃-ute events. Our trip began in Tokyo with polaroid and individual handshake events, and eventually took us to Osaka for more events and the Hello! concerts. We had the idea to go to Kunouzan Toshogu and pray for more overseas events for ℃-ute, so we stopped in Shizuoka on the way back to Tokyo. Just as Maimi did on HaroPuro TIME, we wrote our wishes on an “ema“, a small wooden plaque, and hung them up at the shrine. (On a side note, we have a Japanese friend who we told about our plan, who then wrote about it in a comment on Maimi’s blog. At the handshake event in Osaka, Maimi said to me out of the blue “I heard you’re going to Kunouzan Toshogu!”)
This update means a lot to me because it let me know that Maimi saw the wishes that RJM and I had left for her, and it reminded me of the interaction with her that drove home the fact that she is an idol who really appreciates her fans. My wish, for ℃-ute to perform in the United States, still hasn’t come true, but I’m hoping it won’t be long!
BG, those were indeed great times! I was glad that everything aligned itself that it turned out that way, thanks to our trip, our mutual friend, our Maimi fandom, and most of all to Maimi herself. Maimi mentioning about this in her blog made me truly happy. It confirmed that, amongst idols, amongst human beings, she is a truly remarkable individual, so kind-hearted and loving. We are blessed to have met her in our lifetimes and the world is a better place in her presence. My dream of UK performance had more or less materialised with her BeriKyuu Paris tour, and so I too look forward to a US performance with C-ute. Rest assured I will make every effort to be there in such an eventuality! Let us hope we have many more great interactions with this perfect role model in future, and continue offering our unwavering support!
