Maimi receives motivation from aspiring stars in her August 2nd update “Motivation(^-^)“. Full translation below.

Good morning
It’s Maimi

Yesterday morning we had a recording for TV Tokyo’s “The Girls Live”

We performed a song we haven’t performed in awhile while wearing outfits coordinated by that girl

It’s been such a long time that when we watched the playback,

I thought “We’ve gotten bigger(^-^)”

Our presence is different than it was back thenlol

I’ll make an announcement when the broadcast date gets closer(^O^)

Afterwords,

we appeared as guests at “JUNON Girls contest”

This is the 3rd year in a row we’ve appearedヽ(；▽；)ノ

It’s an honor to be called on each time,

and I’m really grateful to JUNON。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

This year we appeared wearing yukata designed by Suzunoya

Doesn’t light blue have a cool and refreshing feeling

Each member was able to choose the yukata they liked,

and it was hard to choose since each were cute( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

I’ve worn pink on white yukata a lot,

and recently I wore a deep blue yukata,

so this time I tried light blue

As expected, wearing a yukata is exciting♪───Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ────♪

I’m grateful I’ve been able to wear wonderful yukata this summer too

And then,
we changed our outfits and had a mini-concert

The setlist was like this

1. Juliet Juliet
2. Aitai Lonely Christmas

3. Kanashiki Heaven (Single Version)
4. FOREVER LOVE
5. Midnight temptation
6. Dance de Bakoon!

The staff at JUNON came up with the setlist,

and there were rare songs like the version of “Namida no Iro” with different lyrics,
“Juliet Juliet”,

and the out of season “Aitai Lonely Christmas”,

so it caused a stir in the venue

We appeared from the audience,

and in front of us were all the spectators and judges,

so the atmosphere was different than usual and felt fresh,

and I was happy that we were able to put on a mini-concert for those who haven’t had the experience of seeing a ℃-ute concert before,

and the cheers of the members of team ℃-ute who came to support us were really reassuring

Everyone who couldn’t participate but supported us still, thank you so very much as well

 

As for the contest,
there were a lot of entries by girls who have goals and dreams,

and yesterday was the final audition

One by one they displayed their special skills in front of the judges,

and as I saw them show their various characters with their special skills magnificently,

I could feel their enthusiasm for their goals and dreams

Every year even my heart starts pounding during the grand prize announcement,

and this year’s winner is Someno Yura-chan

She’s still 14-years-oldΣ(￣。￣ノ)ノ

She was small and adorable
Congratulations

This is a turning point in her life,
and she’ll have a lot of experiences unlike anything she’s had up until now

I hope she doesn’t forget how she feels now and has a wonderful future

 

And then,
whether or not they won the grand prize, everyone who worked hard for their goals and dreams really sparkled

Each year I think “People who work hard for something shine”

I hope they won’t give up on their dreams and continue to sparkle

It was great motivation for us too, and we received power to do our best
