Blog update: “Yaji Power(°_ °)”

Maimi makes it rain on ℃-ute’s release event in her July 21st update “Yaji Power(°_ °)“. Full translation below.

Good morning
It’s Maimi

We had release events for our new single “The Power/Kanashiki Heaven (Single Version)” at Osaka’s Senri SELCY yesterday(^O^)

(1.2.3)

There were two mini-concerts & handshake events(o^^o)

The stage was outdoors,
so when we left the dressing room for the rehearsal,

it was rea~lly hotΣ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ

I blurted out “WhoaΣ(゜д゜lll) I’m going to get sunburned!(◎_◎;)”,

Nakajima Saki-chan was carrying sunblock and asked me

“There’s a little left, but do you want to use it??(・o・)”

I wanted to put it on,
but rehearsal was going to start soon,

and when I put on sunblock I use a lot and take a long time,

so I responded “Hmm…(>人<;) Thanks But it’s alright! I’ll get sunburned today(>_<)“,

and I was prepared to get burned…!(◎_◎;)

However…

When the performance started and we began singing the first song,

“Drip, drip, drip, drip…”

It started raining…Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ

EekΣ(゜д゜lll)

All at once,
everyone who came put their towels on top of their heads…(>人<;)

And then, everyone smiled towards me, the rain girl, as if to say

“You did it(^◇^;)”,

and I just smiled like “I did it(≧∇≦;) Tehe“…ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=┌(; ̄◇ ̄)┘

“The Power” of Yajima came out…f( ̄▽ ̄;)

But oddly enough, the rain stopped when the first song, “The Power”, ended,

and I felt relieved like “I’m glad I’m glad“( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

…Or so I thought…(◎_◎;)

I let my guard down~Σ(゜д゜lll)

It was raining really hard during the handshake event,
and the sound of the rain drowned out everyone’s voices(´・Д・)

There was even the rumble of thunderΣ(゜д゜lll)

Everyone was trying their hardest to be heard(/ _ ; )

There was a roof on the stage,
but the stage still got soaked, and the staff dried it off while we were having the handshake event(>人<;)

During the handshake event,
everyone said kind things like “On the contrary, the rain is fun“,

and “It’s cool thanks to the rain It feels good“…(T_T)

There were also people who said “Maimi-cha~n( ̄▽ ̄) Stop the rain~(^◇^;)”(lol)

Even though I can make it rain,
I can’t make it stop…_| ̄|○ Boo hoo…

It’s like “Frozen”!( ̄▽ ̄)

Everyone, have you seen that movie??(^O^)

I’m getting off-topic,
but the handshake event was fun, even everyone’s teasing(^ν^)

It was raining heavily after the first event,

so I was really worried thinking “Will the second event be alright~?(・・;)“(;´Д`A

At worst, it’d be rained out…(>_<)

But it looked like the rain would stop after the first event,

and the second event started safely\(^o^)/

Oops(゜O゜)

……Drip, drip… Drip, drip…

Fwoosh!(◎_◎;)

In the end, it rained…(; ̄ェ ̄)

Why~…(; ̄◇ ̄)

We even picked refreshing summer songs since it was an outdoor event~;^_^A

When I pointed while singing “What the wide open sky taught me~♪”
during “Sekai Ichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko”,

it was completely grey…(°_°)

I gave too much of a “momoiro” shower…(;´Д`A

(※Those who aren’t familiar with “Sekai Ichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko” and “Momoiro Sparkling”, please listen to them)

In the end, we stopped after each song to wipe off the stage so it wouldn’t be dangerous, and we were able to finish the event(>人<;)

There were a variety of other happenings

But everyone who participated,
everyone who supported us,
thank you so very much

It felt like I could see a lot of people that I hadn’t before that day from the stage,

and as I thought,
there were a lot of people who said “Nice to meet you” at the handshake event(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))

There were also people who said “I became a fan today“,

so I was rea~lly happyヽ(;▽;)ノ

The release week events are finished for now,

and we’ll have Hello! Project summer concerts in Osaka on 7/26 and 27,

so if you have the time, please be sure to come and hang out

Alright(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))
Today I’m going to a shoot in a particular place♪( ´θ`)ノ

I can’t wait~(o^^o)

Well then, well then, let’s have a wonderful day today

Until tomorrow~(^o^)

p.s.
Everyone who checked out “MUSIC JAPAN” last night, thank you very much
