Maimi starts work on a new regular magazine feature and interviews for several others in her January 28th update “Interview DAY( ・ω・)ノ“. Full translation below.

Good evening
It’s Maimi

This is sudden,
but it was decided that starting in February, Yajima Maimi will have a serial feature in “UTB”

In addition, the feature capitalizes on my hobbies and the things I love(T ^ T)

Happy…。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

I love sweets
Just seeing them makes me happy,
and of course I love eating them too

I love to eat them, so I make them myself

For the segment they gave me…

I wander around the streets
I go to delicious sweets shops
I listen to what the owners say♪
And I eat the actual sweets
So it’s a project where I learn about sweets(^-^)

And then, there’s one more thing
I love to draw

So I also make a map showing the path I took and where the shop is

When I returned home after work, I switched on(^^;;

Scribble, scribble, scribble, scribble…_φ(´ε｀ )

I couldn’t stop drawing…σ(^_^;)

Though my mom said “Go to bed already“,

I responsed “Uh-huh!”, and… scribble, scribble, scribble, scribble_φ(・_・

Eventually I finished the map, and I was attacked by drowsiness(~_~;)

But I thought
“I want to draw the title for the feature too“,

and using the momentum I had, once again,
scribble, scribble, scribble, scribble…_φ(・_・

 

I finished both(^o^)/* Ya~y

Refreshed

Before I realized it, the table in my living room was covered with color pens and eraser shavings(;^_^A

I definitely want everyone to see my feature…

The first installment was shot in Daikanyama

Speaking of Daikanyama, it has a fashionable image,

and the stylist prepared outfits to fit that theme(//∇//)

I was happy that I got to walk around Daikanyama in stylish clothes

I’m grateful to the stylist(^^)

After the shoot, the staff gave me an early birthday present(T ^ T)

They were lovely clothes(//∇//)

And then, I met up with everyone,

and we had a shoot for “Shuukan Shounen Champion”

It’s been 6 years since ℃-ute appeared together in that magazine

The cameraman, who we met again for the first time in awhile, said
“Your faces haven’t changed much since back then~(^^)”

I was really happy that they remembered us♪( ´θ｀)ノ

And afterwards,
at our interview with “TV Navi”, which goes on sale February 24th,

the staff said
“This is the first time we’ve interviewed you since you sang ’16-sai no Koi nante’ with Abe Natsumi-san

Back then,
your manager told you to pay attention to Abe’s answers in the interview and expressions during the shoot and learn from them,

and you were extremely innocent(^^)

You’re completely grown up now(*^^*)
Did you become taller too??”

It brought back my memories of that time in an instant

“That’s right… I was so nervous that I was shivering…”(;^_^A

In addition, it seems they saw the program I appeared on earlier,

as they said “I watched God Tongue(^-^)”

I was really happy

Not just limited to the staff this time, but so that all the staff that I’ve worked with up to now can notice my growth, I’ve got to continue to work hard

 

And then, there was one more magazine yesterday

We were also interviewed for “Shuukan Famitsu”

It was a fun shoot
It felt unlike any shoot we’ve had before, and we laughed a lot(^з^)-☆

I really want you to see it…

Tomorrow there is a release commemoration handshake event for “Alo-Hello! ℃-ute 2014”, currently on sale,

and it will be held at Fukuya Shoten Shinjuku Subnade at 7:00PM~
