Blog update: “My precious friends(= ´∀`)人( ´∀`=)”

Maimi stops at Budoukan for the second time in as many days, but this time for Berryz Koubou, in her November 30th update “My precious friends(= ´∀`)人( ´∀`=)“. Full translation below.

Good morning
It’s Maimi

Yesterday we appeared as surprise guests at Berryz Koubou’s Budoukan concert(*^^*)

(1)

Berryz Koubou came running to ℃-ute’s performance at Budoukan…

We also appeared in the midst of their performance,

and the 12 of us performed “Ganbacchae!”
and Berryz Koubou’s song “Rival”

(2)

For Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute,
originally known as Hello! Project Kids,

“Ganbacchae!” is a song that we have a really, really strong emotional attachment to

Our first recording after joining Hello! Project was this song

If you listen to it, you can hear the voices of children behind those of our many seniors, and those voices belong to the 10 year-younger versions of us…

At that time,
I never imagined we’d be separated into 2 groups, Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute, like this,

and I was so young I couldn’t even think of something like that(^^;;

Nevertheless,
I still have memories here and there of recording the music video and performing the song at Hello! Project concerts

That the day arrived 10 years later where Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute performed that song alone and on a big stage like Budoukan…

It fills me with heavy emotions…

“Each day passes by quickly,
little by little we become adults, and learn about lonliness”

“We repeated a lot of mistakes and looked ahead,
and we made a lot of big plans and ran at them at full speed”

…I wonder if we understood the lyrics at that time…?

Now,
I feel they have a really deep meaning…

And then, “Rival”
If there wasn’t Berryz Koubou, I don’t think ℃-ute would exist as it does now.

They were always ahead of us, and we impatiently wanted to catch up with them…

While typing that, I started feeling like I was going to cry

But Berryz Koubou is a group that always stirs up our emotions,

and gives us dreams and goals to shoot for.

That hasn’t changed even after 11 years…

Because as expected, they’re cool Berryz Koubou

We entered the world of show business together, and ever since we were little, we went to lessons and lived together,

and even though 11 years have passed, they give us a lot of motivation and bring forth a lot of emotions from us… Berryz Koubou are our eternal rivals(^ν^)

I’m really happy we were able to perform those 2 songs with Berryz Koubou at Budoukan

After our appearance as surprise guests,

we quickly changed out of our outfits
And we dashed into the audience

We wanted to go watch the Berryz Koubou performance as quickly as possible, so everyone brought their casual clothes from the dressing room and left them near the stage exits,

and after our performance, we changed into our casual clothes as quickly as we change outfits during a concert(^◇^;)lol

I didn’t care I was dripping with sweat( ̄ー ̄)

As soon as we arrived at our seats,

Yajima’s tear ducts broke down。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

I was crying so much I surprised even myself…
I couldn’t stop~。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

What is it… That feeling…

I’ve watched Berryz Koubou since we were little.

Everyone has grown up,
and they’re singing the same songs as then.

In addition to the Berryz Koubou in front of me,
the images of young Berryz Koubou singing came to mind.

Though they were singing fun songs with a smile, on the contrary, I was crying(T ^ T)

Everyone’s sparkling smiles haven’t changed from when we were children…

Seeing those smiles, I thought

“We’ve grown up this much…
We’ve spent this much time together…”

We often had the conversation “What kind of adults will we become 10 years later?(・o・)” when we were little,

and this was what they had become 10 years later

E~veryone is sparkling

There’s a part of me that always cries a lot when I go and watch Berryz Koubou’s performances(^◇^;)

When I think that we’ve remained companions after meeting 11 years ago,
it’s really amazing,

and each member has had periods where they were confused and frustrated,
but once again, I’m grateful that we’ve never been beaten by that

While watching Berryz Koubou shining on stage, I strongly felt “I want to continue to work hard together with them

I really, rea~lly love Berikyuu~~~

Thank you so much for the happy time。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

From the bottom of my heart,
congratulations on your successful Budoukan performance

Everyone~ I love you~
