Blog update: “Happy birthday(*^.^*)”

Maimi reflects on the practices for the play “Taklimakan” as the opening day draws near and wishes several people happy birthday in her May 28th update titled “Happy birthday(*^.^*)“. Full translation below.

Good evening
It’s Maimi

We had practice for the play “Taklimakan” all day today

There’s 3 days remaining until the performance

I finally said farewell to the practice hall…

The set was taken apart…

“The practice hall was this wide, huh…”

As expected, when everything is gone, I start feeling lonely

It seems the heat from everyone appearing in the play made the practice hall extremely humid(lol)

I didn’t notice it because I was always in the practice hall,

but there were people who said “Coming in from outside is like stepping into a sauna“…

Yaji’s sweat probably also added a lot to the humidity…

That’s how much I sweat

But the fact that we could put on a play in such a hot practice hall is wonderful(・∀・´)

I want to stand on stage with all of my might so that everyone in the audience can feel this energy

It will be held at Higashi Ikebukuro Owl Spot
from May 31st to June 10th,

and at Osaka Sankei Hall Breeze
on June 11th

It seems there’s still tickets available for the weekday performances,

so if you have the time, please be sure to come and watch

A picture from the practice hall today

(1)
Igari Asami-san, who substituted for me on the days I wasn’t at practice

She also e-mailed me with changes often

Thank you so very much for remembering my lines and actions, even though you have your own role to worry about

And then, tomorrow is Yokoyama Kazutoshi-san’s birthday

Everyone celebrated today after practice

There is live music during the play “Taklimakan”,

and when we sang the birthday song, Tateishi Kazumi-san accompanied us on the piano

I met Yokoyama-san during the Hata-gumi play “Ran”,

and we’ve worked together in a variety of plays since then, and I feel he’s a really strong and kind person

During the time of the first “Ran”, I was nervous because I’m shy and I didn’t know anyone at all in the practice hall,

but Yokoyama-san would often call out to me
He’s a person that makes everyone feel secure

You can see Yokoyama-san’s sharp and swift action in “Taklimakan” this time

Blink, and you might miss it~( ̄▽ ̄)
Please be prepared to watch with dry eyes (lol)

And then, speaking of birthdays,

today is Morning Musume’s Sayashi Riho-chan’s birthday

Congratulations, Riho-chan

When I went to see Morning Musume’s concert at Budoukan earlier, her intense dancing caught my eye

When I’m watching Riho Riho,
I think “How cool~~(*´д`*)

Not just her dancing, but her singing voice has become stronger, and she’s mastered a variety of techniques

Ah…
I think she’s a real hard worker…

I always watch her while thinking “Her approach to work is promising“(・ー・|っ |<–Wall

I received lots and lots of motivation

Yaji’s gotta do her best too

Have a wonderful year, Riho-chan

Happy birthday

Now then
I heard someone say “Doesn’t the rainy season start tomorrow“…

At the practice hall…
“Huh( ̄▽ ̄) Maimi-chan(。-∀-)”
“This year too, huh…( ̄▽ ̄)

Everyone’s stares were scary((((゜д゜;))))lol

Yeah… It rained a considerable amount both times I appeared with Hata-gumi in the play “Ran”….m(__)m

Though it hasn’t really worked, I hung a teru-teru bouzu in the dressing room…

Alright
I’ll make one this year too(・∀・´)

I won’t lose to the rain,
and I’ll do my best at “Taklimakan”

Well then, thanks for all your hard work today

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today…
