Blog update: “2013”

Here’s the translation for Maimi’s 1/1 update, titled “2013“:

Happy new year

A new year has begun

2013… I wonder what kind of year it’ll be~

I’m excited and nervous

Surely there will be a lot of times I’m worried, a lot of times I lose my way, a lot of walls that I’ll run into, but I hope I can overcome those things and grow from them…

Now then, New Year’s…
Is everyone able to have a carefree New Year’s

As for me… for the first time in awhile… I went to that place

Yesterday, my mom asked me
“Mai (←That’s me), is there somewhere you want to go tomorrow“,

and I immediately said that place…

That place that I’m very grateful to for last year…

…Where do you think it is

It is……

The Kunouzan Toshogu shrine in Shizuokaヾ(^▽^)ノ

I went there for my first shrine visit of the year~

Kunouzan Toshogu shrine is a place I went to after riding a bicycle for 3 days from Tokyo Tower

in order to pray for the success of our single “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku”

as part of the program “HaroPuro TIME” in February

Ah~… It was really nostalgic~

Back then, I ascended the 1159 stone steps to the shrine carrying my bicycle in the rain…

Today I walked up the steps with my mom and dad

As expected, walking up the steps for the first time in awhile requires physical strength…(^o^;) Ahaha

My mom said “My knees are shaking~…

But the view from the top was amazing, and morning sun was really radiant

After giving thanks for last year
and praying for this year,

we bought strawberries and went home(←It seems Kunouzan is known for their strawberries)

I’m grateful to my mom and dad for taking me

Ah That’s right
I finished writing my New Year’s cards on New Year’s Eve day

The cards for everyone in Berikyuu (Berryz Koubou & ℃-ute)

They’re really precious people for Yaji in 2013 too

Please continue to take care of me this year

And then, everyone who cheers for us…

Thank you for the large amount of support you gave us last year

℃-ute has a dream that we’ve a~lways wanted to fulfill,

solo concerts at the Nippon Budoukan and at arenas

And then,

we also hope to realize our dream of events and concerts at all of Japan’s 47 prefectures this year

I want to meet a lo~t of smiles

I want them to love ℃-ute and Team ℃-ute

I want to become a group that grabs a lot of people’s hearts

…For that purpose,
I gotta put forth a lot of effort and always move forward

Everyone in Team ℃-ute… I will never part with you

I hope that at this time next year, everyone loves ℃-ute more and more…

And then, I hope Team ℃-ute grows even larger…

I’ll combine my power with everyone and do my best(・∀・´)

Please continue to support us this year too

I hope a lot of happiness arrives for everyone in 2013 too…
